2011 Junior Season
Had a breakout campaign while establishing himself as the team’s primary catcher … Hit .327 (32-for-98) with 12 doubles, one home run, 17 RBI, eight runs, two stolen bases and five walks … Slugged .480 with notching eight multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games while recording a career-best eight game hitting streak …Threw out 15.8 percent (9-for-58) of runners on the basepaths … Played in 35 games, making 25 starts … In series-opening victory against Quinnipiac (4/21), went 3-for-5 with a walk … His single in the top of the 11th extended Wagner’s lead to two after previously scoring the tying run in the top of the eighth following a double … Went 3-for-5 with a sacrifice in doubleheader at Jacksonville (3/5) and finished up the three-game set with a .500 average (4-for-8) … Also hit safely in all three games he played in against CCSU (3/26-3/27), finishing up 3-for-9 with three RBI and two doubles … Crushed a home run and a double en route to 2-for-3, two RBI day in win over Lafayette (5/3) … Helped close out doubleheader sweep of Saint Joseph’s (4/30) with 2-for-3 , two RBI performance in the nightcap … In victory over FDU (5/8), was 2-for-4 a double and a run … Went 2-for-4 with a double in season finale at Sacred Heart (5/14) … Was a perfect 2-for-2 with a run in the nightcap against Mount (3/19) … In series-opening win at LIU (4/2), was 1-for-4 with a career-best two stolen bases … Then in the first game of the next day’s doubleheader against the Blackbirds (4/3) went 2-for-4 with a run while helping the Seahawks to victory … Hit safely in all three of his appearances against Bryant (4/8-4/10).
2010 Sophomore Season
Saw increased time behind the plate … Batted .333 (11-33) with six runs, three doubles, two triples, one home run and three RBI while drawing two walks and being plunked four times while notching a .436 OBP … Also threw out 23.1 percent (3-13) of baserunners … Saw action in 19 games, making seven starts … Had two multi-hit games … Crushed his first career home run at Bryant (5/1), giving Wagner a seventh-inning lead … Recorded his first career multi-hit game at Mount St. Mary’s, going 2-for-2 … In victory over Iona (4/28), went 2-for-3 with a triple, RBI and run … Tripled and scored a run at Bethune-Cookman ( 3/13) … Doubled and scored a run at Richmond (3/20) … Also doubled at San Diego State (4/25) and vs. Quinnipiac (5/22).
2009 Freshman Season
Hit .400 (2-5) with two runs, two RBI and one double over nine games, including one start ... Notched a run-scoring double in his first collegiate at-bat at UMBC (3/7), before coming around to score ... Also recorded a hit vs. Seton Hall (4/15).
Scholastic / Personal:
Played his prep ball at Notre Dame High School under the direction of Tom Dill … As a senior, he helped the Black Knights to Division III State Championship, the Southern California Invitational Tourney Championship and a 27-4 record … Notre Dame also was honored as the Cal-Hi Sports State Team of the Year … Second Team All-Mission League selection after hitting .365 with three doubles, two home runs, 16 RBI with a .475 slugging percentage while only striking out six times … On the gridiron, helped Notre Dame to back-to-back Mission League Football Championships and was a two-time All-League selection … Graduated Cum Laude with a 3.6 GPA and was a four-time All-Academic Team selection … Born on December 8, 1989 ...
