Finished fifth in high jump (2.01m) at the John Thomas Terrier Invite (1/27-28)... Finished sixth in high jump (1.94m) and tenth in long jump (6.56m) at the NYC Gotham Cup (1/20)... 2021-22 Indoor and Outdoor (Freshman): Recorded a career fastest in the 200m at the METS with a time of 24.23. At the Outdoor Championships, participated in the high jump and long jump, finish twelfth in the high jump clearing 1.87m and twenty-second in the long jump with a mark of 5.83m. At the Indoor Championships, Watkins jumped in the high jump and long jump once again. His high jump cleared 1.93m for sixth place, and long jump of 6.51m granted him a sixteenth place finish in the event.
Before Wagner: Member of the Longwood High School football and track programs... Received All-League and All-County honors... Watkins is the son of Katrina and Gregory Watkins... Brother Kyle ran track at Manhattan College... Other brother Garrett ran track for Harding University... Occupational plans after college include owning his own business.
