Senior Season (2022-23): Selected to a third Mid-Atlantic/South Regional thanks to a solid fall season... Completed the first four events of the season with at least one 3-0 victory... Had a pair of 3-0 victories at the LIU Shark Invitational, Drew Invitational and Vassar Invitational, which were the first three events of the 2022-23 season.

Junior Season (2021-22): In 39 bouts, Ava earned a 66.7 winning percentage and a 26-13 record. De La Cruz earned a 31st place finish during her second appearance at the Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Competition.

Freshman Season (2019-20): Qualified for NCAA Regionals in her first year of collegiate competition … Placed 31st at the Temple Open … Helped the Seahawks to an 8-1 win over Hunter at the LIU Invitational … Contributed to a 5-4 victory over FDU at the Vassar Invitational … Contributed to the Seahawks’ sweep at the Brian Palestis Memorial Invitational … Helped the Seahawks earn five victories at the Philadelphia Invitational.

Before Wagner: Placed fifth at the Guatemala Junior World Cup in 2017 … Competed for three straight seasons on the USA Fencing All-Academic Team, earning a spot on the first team in 2016 … Earned multiple Top-20 finishes at both junior and senior fencing events in 2017 and 2018 … Also competed in high school varsity volleyball.
