NFHCA National Academic Squad (2020)

2023 (Senior Season): Elected as team captain, Shaelyn appeared and started in all 18 games for Wagner. Shaelyn was named a NEC Prime Performer twice during the season while recording a team-high five goals. Kobrynich was also named Second Team All-NEC.

2022 (Junior Season): Elected as a captain, Shaelyn started in all 18 games for Wagner as she tallied two assists.

2021 (Sophomore Season): Appeared in all 19 contests while starting three. She tallied 3 shots while notching 494 minutes played. 

2020-21 (Freshman Season): Appeared in four games for the Seahawks... Made her collegiate debut against Hostra (Mar. 5)... Recorded a total of four shots on the year... Had a pair of shot attempts against Sacred Heart (Mar. 22) and on the road at Merrimack (Mar. 25). 

Before Wagner: A 2020 graduate of Abington Heights High School in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania where she was a four-year varsity starter in both field hockey and softball… Earned multiple field hockey honors, including Team MVP her freshman year and Offensive MVP her senior year… Competed on varsity Swim & Dive, as well as varsity softball and field hockey, her senior season, earning her the Marine Corps Award for dedication to sports… Competed for Electric Surge Field Hockey Club where she helped the team to qualify for the Indoor NIT three times… Chose Wagner because she loved the small school feel inside of New York City… Plans to major in International Relations with a goal of working for the FBI or CIA upon graduation… Daughter of Christine and Jason Kobrynich… Two siblings, JC (14) and Taya (22).
