2023 Graduate Season:
Appeared in 16 games, starting in two of them... Across 16.1 innings he amassed a 5.51 ERA and 16 strikeouts... Had three scoreless outings in a row spanning from 4/30 to 5/13, collecting seven strikeouts during that span.

2022 Senior Season:
Appeared in 15 games, pitching 24.1 innings… Struck out 19 batters, including a season-high four batters against FDU (4/24)… Did not allow a run in his final three appearances… Picked up the victory against Sacred Heart (4/9) after tossing three innings, striking out two.

2021 Junior Season:
Appeared in ten games during the season… Made one start… For the year, posted a 1-1 record to go along with a 3.51 ERA… Notched his fifth career save at Mount St. Mary’s (Apr. 24), preserving a 16-3 victory… Struck out two or more batters over his first seven appearances, highlighted by four strikeouts against Maine (Mar. 13) and at Mount St. Mary’s (Apr. 24)… Lowered his ERA in Northeast Conference (NEC) games to 3.00 while throwing 27.0 innings… Made his lone start of the year against Central Connecticut (May 2)… Held left-handed batters to a .205 batting average.

2020 Sophomore Season:
Appeared in four games, earning two starts... Went 0-1 with a 3.77 ERA... Hurled 14.1 innings for the season while striking out 14 batters... Fanned a season-high six batters against Penn State (2/22/20), in which he only allowed one hit in his three innings of work, which earned him his fourth career save. 

2019 Freshman Season:
Made 14 of his 15 appearances out of the bullpen during the season… finished the year 2-0 with three saves and 26 strikeouts in 31.1 innings… picked up the save after tossing a scoreless, hitless 10^th inning against Elon (3/2)… earned first collegiate win after tossing two shutout innings, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out three against Fordham (3/13)… earned win in second consecutive appearance against Mount St. Mary’s, allowing just one unearned run in three innings of work (3/16)… struck out season-high four over three innings, picking up the save against Saint Peter’s (3/20)… tossed a perfect ninth inning against Central Connecticut State, picking up the save (3/30).

Before Wagner: Attended Monsignor Farrell High School on Staten Island and was a three-year member of the Lions’ varsity baseball team… In 2018, he went 5-0 with a 1.21 ERA in 60.2 innings pitched… Named Most Valuable Player of the Lions team (2017-18), Staten Island Baseball Oldtimer’s Outstanding Pitcher of the Year, Staten Island Basbeall Oldtimer’s First Team All-Star… Named to the CHSAA First Team All-League being tabbed U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar-Athlete… Was four-year member of the National Honor Society… Helped the Lions capture the 2017 CHSAA City Championship… Son of John Joseph and Patricia Ann LaPointe... Has one sibling, Emily, who is a member of the Manhattan College women's basketball team…. His mother competed as a gymnast in the Junior Olympics at Wake Forest University… Undeclared major at Wagner.
