Before Wagner: Three-year varsity baseball team member at Desert Hills High School in St. George, UT…struck out 30 batters while posting a 2-0 record and a 2.46 ERA as a sophomore…struck out 40 hitters in 31.2 innings as a junior, lowering ERA to 1.99... Second Team All-Region and a Class 4A Honorable Mention as a senior after setting career-bests in strikeouts (43) and ERA (1.44), posting a 6-1 record for the state Class 4A Champions…in all, struck out 113 batters in just 75 innings during high school varsity career…son of Amanda and Monte Paul Turner…has one younger sibling, Kayson…an intended sport management major at Wagner.
