Before Wagner:Â Attended Freehold Borough and was a two-year member of the varsity baseball program under the direction of head coach Jon Block... Helped lead the Colonials to 30 wins over his two seasons at the varsity level... In his junior season, the team won 16 games and were semifinalist for the State Sectionals in Group IV... His senior season, the team won 14 games as were semifinalist in the Shore Conference Tournament... In 2015, he struck out eight batters and allowed one run over six innings against the defending Group 1 State Champions, Shore Regional... In 2016, he was named Preseason Player to Watch by theÂ
Star Ledger... Posted a 5-1 record on the mound, while connecting for a .324 batting average... Posted shutouts against Mananalpan and Immaculata... Named a TeamType1 Global Ambassador by TeamType1.org and received a scholarship from the organization... In the classroom, posted a 3.85 GPA while reaching the Honor Roll in every semester.... Son of Michelle and Edward Zuppe... Has two siblings, Michael and Danielle... Michael was a member of the University of Pennsylvania baseball team (2008-12).
