Made 16 appearances while earning the starting nod 12 times… Went 4-3 overall with a 5.67 ERA… As a starter, went 3-3 with a 4.96 ERA… In relief, went 1-0 with a 10.57 ERA… Struck out a combined 37 batters in 60.1 innings… Made his collegiate debut on the road at North Carolina Central (February 18), tossing three innings, striking out three batters… Earned his first collegiate start on the road at Rutgers (February 27), lasting three innings…. Threw a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits, three walks while striking out a career-high six batters against Fairleigh Dickinson (April 28)…
CONFERENCE ONLY: Appeared in eight games while earning the start in six contests… Finished the conference slate with a 3-0 overall record to go along with a 3.12 ERA… Threw 34.2 innings in which he recorded 19 strikeouts.
Before Wagner: Was a three-year varsity member of the St. Peter Marian under head coach Ed Riley... As a member of the Guardians baseball team, was a two-year team captain... In his junior season, was named to the Central Mass All-Star team... In his senior year, named to the Super Team, T&G All-Star, ESPN All-State, Mass Live Super Seven... Was a member of the St. Peter Marian's golf team for a season and earned the Sportsmanship Award... In his junior & senior years, was named to the Honor Roll while winning the Sister
Dorothy and Kevin Kirk Award... Played a year of basketball at Worcester Academy, where he earned team MVP honors...For his baseball career, posted a 12-5 record with a 2.09 ERA... Tossed a total of 113 innings with 120 strikeouts... At the plate, was a .405 hitter... He led the team to two District Championships and is the only pitcher in Central Massachusetts history to earn the starting nod in three district championships... Son of Eileen and Patrick... Has two siblings, Tim and Ryan... Tim played football for Norwich University and
Worcester State... Has volunteered in working with the St. John's soup kitchen to help feed the homeless... Will be pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.
