2021: Appeared in eight games with three starts as the team’s tertiary face-off specialist… won three face-offs and scooped three ground balls against LIU (2/27)… won 10-of-13 face-offs with a career-high seven ground balls against Saint Joseph’s (4/30)… won three face-offs and grabbed three ground balls against Mount St. Mary’s (5/07).

2020: Appeared in five games as a face-off specialist during freshman season… won 7-of-10 face-offs, grabbing two ground balls against Manhattan (2/22)… won a pair of face-offs in season finale against Hartford (3/07).

Before Wagner: Graduated from Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, NJ… recorded two goals and three assists while winning 61.2% of face-offs and scooping 83 ground balls as a sophomore… bounced back from missed junior season (knee injury) to win 76.8% of his face-offs and scoop 126 ground balls as a senior, earning Second Team All-Conference and All-County Honorable Mention recognition… son of Joanne and John Whelpley… has two siblings, Deanna and John, a former football player at Fairleigh Dickinson University… an intended computer science major at Wagner… favorite athlete is Patrick Kane.
