BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Sophomore
Victoria Madail was named to the women's tennis All-NEC First Team in singles, the conference announced on Friday.
This is the first time a Wagner player has earned first team honors since before the NEC went to the team-oriented championship format in 1999.
The Maturin, Venezuela native finished the year 7-4 in first singles, giving her the second-best winning percentage in the NEC on court 1. Additionally, Madail went a perfect 5-0 in second singles, helping the Seahawks earn the No. 4 seed in the NEC Tournament, their highest seed in program history.
In the tournament, Madail's singles win on Court 1 helped Wagner clinch a first-round 4-2 victory against Stonehill, sending the Seahawks to their second straight NEC Tournament semifinals.
Madail has now earned All-NEC honors in back-to-back seasons. In 2025, Madail earned spots on the All-NEC Second Team for singles, and the All-Rookie team.
