HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — The Wagner College women's lacrosse team fell to CAA member Hofstra by a score of 18-1 on Captains Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Seahawks found the back of the net with just over one minute remaining in the first half. Junior captain Amelia Logan scored her team-leading seventh goal of the season off of a sophomore Sydney Mulroony assist late in the second quarter.
Defensively, junior Alex Wright earned four draw controls, caused two turnovers, and collected one ground ball.
In net, freshman Isabella Odland recorded just under 22 minutes of action before junior Grace DeCarolis took over in the second quarter and played the remaining 38 minutes. Both Odland and DeCarolis earned three saves.
Next up, the Green & White conclude non-conference play with a meeting at America East member UAlbany on Wednesday, March 11. The Seahawks-Great Danes game is set for a 3 p.m. start on John Fallon Field.
