ALBANY, N.Y. — The Wagner College women's lacrosse team wrapped up its 2026 non-conference slate with a 16-4 loss to America East member UAlbany on John Fallon Field on Wednesday afternoon.
The Seahawks (0-6, 0-0 NEC) fell behind 3-0 before junior captain Amelia Logan found the back of the net off of a freshman Breanne Tavares assist. Later in the opening quarter, junior Sydney Ecker scored back-to-back goals, the first of the season for Ecker. Tavares assisted on all three goals in the first.
After 15 minutes of action, the Great Danes (5-2, 0-0 America East) led 6-3.
UAlbany would find the back of the net three times in both the second and third quarters, leading 12-3 after three quarters. Logan capitalized off a senior Shea Saracino pass to secure her team-leading ninth goal of the season early in the fourth quarter.
Defensively, sophomore Julia Kozlowski caused three turnovers while senior Kristina Pisano picked up three ground balls. Logan added a team-high three draw controls to go along with her two goals.
In net, freshman Isabella Odland recorded just under 25 minutes and four saves before junior Grace DeCarolis relieved Odland with three saves in just over 35 minutes of game time.
Next up, the Green & White begin conference play by hosting Delaware State on Saturday, March 14. The opening draw control is set for noon on Hameline Field.
