STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Wagner College women's lacrosse team began its 2026 NEC slate with an 18-3 win over Delaware State on Hameline Field on Saturday.

The Seahawks (1-6, 1-0 NEC) scored five goals before the Hornets (0-8, 0-1 NEC) tallied their first goal midway through the opening period. At the end of the first, Wagner held a commanding 8-1 lead in its conference opener.

The Seahawks added four goals in the second while allowing only one to Delaware State to take a 12-2 lead heading into the halftime break.

A 3-1 third period for Wagner extended its lead, 15-3, heading into the final quarter of play. In the fourth, the Seahawks held the Hornets scoreless while finding the back of the net three times to prevail, 18-3, after 60 minutes of action.

Offensively, junior captain Amelia Logan led the Green & White with seven total points on four goals and three assists. Fellow captain senior Shea Saracino tacked on three goals, earning her first hat trick as a Seahawk, to go along with one assist.

For White, the Surf City, North Carolina native scored her first collegiate goal late in the fourth quarter against Delaware State.
