This Week in Wagner Athletics; 10 Teams in Action as Baseball and Lacrosse Teams Get Set to Open 2026 Campaigns

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week. 
 

Baseball 

- The Seahawks open their season on the road at Virginia, beginning with a Friday, Feb. 13 game for the opener. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. EST. 

- Saturday, Feb. 14 and Sunday, Feb. 15 will feature 1 p.m. EST games. The full series will be broadcast on the ACC Network+.

- Wagner had four players named to Perfect Game's preseason All-NEC list — sophomore Matt Sutera, junior Joseph Mennella, senior Colin Trizuto and graduate Lukas Torres

Men's Basketball 

- Wagner hosts LIU on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. inside the Spiro Sports Center before traveling to Easton, Mass., to face Stonehill College on Feb. 14 at 2 p.m.
 

Men's Lacrosse  

- The Seahawks embark on their 2026 campaign as Wagner hosts MAAC member Sacred Heart on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. on Hameline Field. 

- Wagner then travels to MAAC member Manhattan for an 11 a.m. start at Gaelic Park on Saturday, Feb. 14.

Men's Tennis  

- The Seahawks will take a trip up to the Bronx and face-off against Fordham on Saturday, Feb. 14. 

- The match will take place at the Cart Leeds Tennis Center at Crotona Park.
 

Men's Track & Field  

-The Seahawks round out the indoor season at the NEC Championships, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex beginning Sunday, Feb. 15. 

- Sunday will feature preliminary races in the track events and finals in weight throw, long jump, and high jump.

- Monday. Feb. 16 will feature closing ceremonies, finals in the track events, relays and finals for triple jump, pole vault and shot put.
 

Women's Basketball 

- Wagner hosts Stonehill on Saturday, Feb. 14 for a 2 p.m. start at the Spiro Sports Center.
 

Women's Bowling  

- The Seahawks are competing in the second of a pair of NEC meets for the 2025-2026 season, heading to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for NEC Meet #2 at Steel City Bowl and Brews beginning Friday, Feb. 13.

- Held across three days, the meet will conclude on Sunday, Feb. 15. 
 

Women's Fencing  

- Wagner will hop over the Hudson River for a duel match against FDU on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at the Bogota Savings Bank Center in Hackensack, NJ. First bouts are set for 6pm.
 

Women's Lacrosse  

- Wagner will begin its 2026 season at CAA member Drexel on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. on Vidas Field.

- The Seahawks host CAA member Monmouth on Saturday, Feb. 14 at noon on Hameline Field.
