STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Former Seahawks football coaches Jason Houghtaling and Justin Hinds will square off on the NFL's biggest stage, as their respective teams meet in Super Bowl LX.
In his first season as an offensive line assistant with the New England Patriots, Houghtaling helped guide the club to its best regular-season record since 2016 (14–3). New England advanced to the Super Bowl after postseason victories over the Los Angeles Chargers (16–3), Houston Texans (28–16), and Denver Broncos (10–7).
Houghtaling began his collegiate coaching career at Wagner in 2006 as running backs coach before moving to the offensive line. He later returned to Grymes Hill as offensive coordinator in 2012, helping lead the Seahawks to an NEC Championship, before ultimately being named head coach, a role he held for five seasons. During his tenure, Wagner student-athletes earned 28 All-Northeast Conference selections.
Hinds, now in his second season with the Seattle Seahawks, was part of a historic campaign that produced the best regular-season record in franchise history, an NFC West title, and the conference's top playoff seed. Seattle reached the Super Bowl following dominant wins over the San Francisco 49ers (41–6) and Los Angeles Rams (31–27).
Hinds started his coaching career at Wagner in 2012, working with the defensive line and linebackers during the Seahawks' NEC Championship season. He later held coaching stops at Mississippi State, Florida, Valdosta State, Lafayette, and Central Michigan, before serving as defensive coordinator at Western Carolina in 2021. Hinds went on to coach the defensive line with the Chicago Bears prior to joining Seattle in 2024.
Super Bowl LX will be played Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, airing nationally on NBC with streaming available on Peacock.
