STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The women's tennis team will start the spring portion of their schedule with a home match against Sacred Heart on Friday, Feb 6.
Last season, the Seahawks made some noise in the playoffs after earning the sixth seed in the NEC Tournament, then upsetting third-seeded Stonehill 4-1 before bowing out in the semifinals to Saint Francis, 4-0. This season, the NEC coaches voted Wagner fifth out of nine teams in the preseason poll, a spot higher than last season, when it placed sixth out of seven.
In the fall portion of the schedule, the Seahawks went 3-0 with duel wins against Monmouth, Holy Cross, and Lafayette. Individually, sophomore
Victoria Madail earned herself a Prime Performer nod for the month of October.
Wagner returns both of its 2025 All-NEC recipients for 2026. Madail was named to the All-NEC second singles team, and joined fellow sophomore
Liepa Sataite on the All-NEC Rookie team.
The opening match is set to start at 7 p.m EST on the CSI Tennis Courts.
