EASTON, Mass. — The Wagner College men's basketball team opens a four-game road swing Saturday, Feb. 14, with a 2 p.m. NEC matchup at Stonehill inside Merkert Gymnasium. The game will stream live on NEC Front Row with Charlie Bergeron on the call.
Saturday's contest marks the eighth all-time meeting between the programs, with Stonehill holding a slim 4–3 series edge. The Skyhawks claimed the first matchup this season on Jan. 4, 69–60, while the teams have split the season series in each of the last three years.
Stonehill (9–17, 6–7 NEC) enters the weekend following a 68–55 road setback at Chicago State. The Skyhawks, coached by Chris Kraus in his 13th season, sit sixth in the NEC standings and rank ninth in scoring (65.3 ppg) while leading the league in rebounding (37.6 rpg). Sophomore Hermann Koffie paces Stonehill with 13.5 points per game, ranking 10th in the conference. The Skyhawks were picked third in the NEC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Wagner (8–15, 3–9 NEC) looks to bounce back after a 67–57 home loss to LIU. Junior
Nick Jones led the Seahawks with 17 points, four assists, and a season-high six steals, while junior
Eddie Placer added 11 points off the bench. Sophomore
Binael Basil recorded nine points and a game-high 13 rebounds, and junior
Michael Cooper chipped in eight points.
The contest featured 11 ties and 10 lead changes, as LIU shot 47.2 percent from the field despite going just 1-for-12 from three-point range. Wagner was held to 38.9 percent shooting overall.
The Seahawks rank second in the NEC in rebounding (36.87 rpg) and fourth in scoring (72.1 ppg). Jones leads the Green & White at 15.1 points per game, ranking sixth in the league, and is tied for first in steals (1.9 spg). Redshirt senior

Following Saturday's matchup, Wagner heads to Brooklyn to face LIU on Monday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m.
