STATEN ISLAND, NY – Josh Hower, head coach of the Wagner men's and women's water polo teams, announced the addition of
Grace Coleman as an assistant coach, welcoming her back to the program following the conclusion of her graduate playing career with the Seahawks.
Coleman wrapped up a productive four-year run with the Wagner women's water polo program, establishing herself as a consistent offensive contributor and reliable two-way presence in the pool. Over her career, she appeared in more than 120 games, providing scoring, playmaking, and defensive stability throughout multiple seasons.
In her graduate season in 2025, Coleman made appearances in 29 games, scoring 18 goals while adding 14 assists. She followed a strong senior campaign in 2024, playing in 34 contests and totaling 20 goals and 19 assists. As a junior in 2023, Coleman appeared in 32 games, recording 18 goals and 11 assists.
Coleman delivered one of her most complete seasons as a sophomore in 2022, dressing for 34 games while tallying 21 goals and 13 assists. That season, she also contributed defensively with 21 steals and three field blocks.
In addition to her contributions in the pool, Coleman excelled academically. She was named to the MAAC Water Polo All-Academic Team and the MAAC Academic Honor Roll following the 2024–25 season, and earned ACWPC Women's All-Academic honors with a Superior distinction.
