Men’s Track & Field Posts Strong Outing at Wagner College Invitational

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Seahawks hosted their final meet of the 2025-2026 season on Saturday, putting up a strong day of performances at the Wagner College Invitational.

Senior Christopher Milillo led the pack in weight throw, finishing first with a 19.30m throw, continuing to improve after logging a collegiate-best 18.01m throw at the Spartan Invite on Jan. 9. Senior Eskil Njerve won pole vault with a 4.80m clearance, his third win in each of the three meets he has competed in this season.

The Seahawks showed up big in the 60m dash, with freshman Noah Grant running a 6.90 time and finishing in second as the highest collegiate finisher. Junior Jack Mason finished fourth with a 6.98-second time. Junior Shawn Keegan qualified for the final but did not start. In the preliminary, Grant ran a 6.91-second time to finish second, with Mason clocking in at 6.96 for third. Keegan was fifth at 6.99 seconds. Sophomore Jaden Hobbs logged a 7.07-second time. Mason rounded out his big day in long jump, finishing fourth with a 7.14m performance.

Senior Florian Hinry won the mile to beat out 44 other runners, logging a 4:13.26, the fastest men's mile in the NEC at this point in the season. Graduate Justin Morris finished fourth with a 4:15.94 time.

Juniors Eric Marquez and Joel Solomon finished eighth and ninth in the 3,000m run. Marquez logged an 8:58.64 time, with Solomon running an 8:59.59 to set a new collegiate best.

In triple jump, two Seahawks finished back-to-back, with sophomore Ty Lawless logging a 13.37m jump to finish sixth and junior Khalid Brown coming just behind in seventh with a 13.34m jump. They did the same in long jump, with Lawless finishing seventh (6.91m) and Brown finishing eighth (6.82m).

Finishing just outside the cut to make the final, freshman Ersell McCullen ran an 8.87-second 60m hurdles preliminary to finish ninth.

Senior Dante Rodney ran a 1:06.51 500m to finish seventh, with sophomore Ignacio San Juan following behind in 13th with a 1:07.86 time. In the 400m dash, junior Jonathan Carman logged a 50.29-second time to finish seventh.

Senior Arjanvir Singh competed in his first meet of the season, logging a 2:05.00 time in the 800m run.

For their next meet, Wagner has its first road challenge of the 2025-2026 season. Beginning Friday, Jan. 23 and going through Saturday, Jan. 24, Wagner will compete at The Armory in the Dr. Sander Scorcher.
