BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — The Wagner College women's tennis team traveled to Binghamton to participate in the NEC Individuals from Friday, September 19 to Sunday, September 21.
Senior
Samantha Bentsianov and freshman
Hannah Fitzgerald reached the finals of the doubles "B" flight bracket. The duo defeated Stonehill's Annelise Beltran and Iliana deArmas 6-3 before shutting out Le Moyne's Alicia Alvarez and Stella Simeonova 6-0.
Sophomore
Victoria Madail won her first round match in the singles "A" bracket, defeating Chicago State's Karolina Skowronska in straight sets 6-4, 7(8)-6(6). In the "E" bracket, Sophomore
Claudia Lindsey defeated LIU's Beatriz Verdial 6-4, 6-4.
Fitzgerald also picked up a first-round win in the "F" bracket against Chicago State's Danina Hughes 6-2, 6-1.
The Seahawks will travel to face Monmouth on Friday, September 26th. First serve is set for 3:00 pm.
