NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Wagner College women's tennis team is set to begin its 2025 fall schedule at the Columbia Invite schedule from Friday, September 12 to Sunday, September 14 at the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center in Inwood.
The Seahawks 2025-26 roster consists of eight student-athletes who include six returners - senior Samantha Bentsianov, junior Dariana Vera, sophomore Liepa Sataite, sophomore Claudia Lindsey, sophomore Victoria Madail, and sophomore Leah Ollivierre -
Two newcomers are welcomed by Head Coach Jeff Menaker to this year's upcoming squad. Freshmen Hannah Fitzgerald and Alexia Estrada will join the Seahawks this year. Fitzgerald hails from Scottsdale, AZ where she attended Desert Mountain High School while Estrada is a Cuernavaca, Mexico native and comes from Lycée Auguste Renoir.
Last time out, the Green & White advanced past the quarterfinal round of the 2024 NEC Tournament after taking down the Stonehill Skyhawks, 4-1, back on April 17 before dropping the semifinal round to the Saint Francis U Red Flash, 4-0, the very next day at the Mercer Country Tennis Center.
Sataite and Lindsey took the #1 doubles spot while Bentsianov and Daniela Hernandez won the #3 doubles position to take the doubles point for the Seahawks against the Skyhawks. In singles play, Sataite took the #1 singles spot, 2-6, 6-0, 6-3, and Madail won the #2 singles position in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
After the opening weekend, Wagner heads to Binghamton for the NEC Individuals meet from Friday, September 19 to Sunday, September 21.
