Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week.
Graduation ceremonies will be held this week, with graduate commencement being held Thursday, May 15 at 4:30 pm on the Sutter Oval. Undergraduate commencement ceremonies will be held Friday, May 16 at 9:30 am on the Sutter Oval. In case of any inclement weather, ceremonies will be held indoors in the Spiro Sports Center gym.
Baseball
- Rounding out the regular season with their final Northeast Conference (NEC) series, Wagner is hosting Delaware State for three games this weekend.
- Game one will feature senior day festivities, played Thursday, May 15 at 5 pm at SIUH Community Park. Senior day recognition will begin 20 minutes before the first pitch.
- Game two and three will take place in Trenton, NJ. The Seahawks and the Hornets will face-off at 3:00 pm on Friday, May 16 and at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 17.
- The Seahawks are coming off a weekend series win over FDU where they clinched an NEC Tournament berth for the third consecutive season.
Track & Field
- After the NEC Outdoor Championships where the Wagner women's team earned the program's first ever outdoor championship, a contingent of Seahawks are set to compete at the Princeton Elite on Saturday, March 17 before NCAA postseason competition begins.
- For the men's team, sophomore Jack Mason, senior Kharlin Watkins, junior Franklin Simms, junior Christopher Milillo and freshman Julio Tatis are currently slated to compete.
- On the women's side, freshman Mia Petersen and senior Ruth-Ann Chambers will take part in competition.
