Washington, D.C. – The Wagner College women's tennis team fell to Howard 4-1 at the Banneker Recreation Center on Saturday, March 22.
In doubles play, graduate student Daniela Hernandez and senior Paula Ysabelle Uy secured a 6-4 victory on court #3, but the Bisons won on courts #1 and #2, earning the doubles point.
In singles action, freshman Victoria Madail claimed a solid victory on court #2 (6-3, 6-2) against her opponent. Despite Madail's strong performance, the Seahawks couldn't maintain momentum, as Howard took victories on courts #1, #3, #4, #5, and #6.
Next up, the Seahawks will host Providence on Sunday, March 23, at the CSI Indoor Tennis Courts at 6:00 PM.
