Men's Tennis Falls To Saint Francis U

Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College men's tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss to Saint Francis U on Saturday, March 15.

Before the meet, senior Jordan Hunte was honored for his dedication and achievements at Wagner.

In doubles action, graduate Antonie Nivault and Damian Janiszewski triumphed 7-6 on court #3. However, the Seahawks were defeated in the first and second doubles positions, falling 6-4 in both matches.

In singles play, freshman Eddie Schmidt claimed a 7-5, 6-4 victory on court #2. Janiszewski kept his momentum going with a dominant 6-2, 6-1 win at #5 singles, after being down 6-4.
Unfortunately, the Seahawks couldn't maintain their pressure as the Red Flash won their matches on courts #1, #3, #4, and #6.

The Seahawks will return to action on Friday, March 21, traveling to Philadelphia to face UPenn.
