Philadelphia, PA — The Wagner men's golf team opened their spring slate of matches against La Salle at the Talamore Country Club on Tuesday and lost 373-383.
The match was scored with seven players for each team playing the course and then each team counting its five best scores
Graduate senior Thomas Choi led the Seahawks and placed second, shooting a 73 just behind La Salle's Gavin Dosch, who led the field of 14 players shooting 71 on the day.
Next for the Seahawks was freshman Daniel Cassidy, tied for fourth with La Sallae's Armand Loscalzo and Alex Gekas after all three shot 75.
Junior Alavid Melo Iturralde earned seventh place shooting 76, followed by junior Renato Gerena shooting 79 for tenth place. Senior Michael Foley was just behind, tied with sophomore Chris Solari after the pair both shot an 80 for eleventh place.
Junior Johnny Svalina rounded out the Seahawk contingent, shooting an 83 just behind Foley and Solari to tie La Salle's Javier Gonzalez for fourteenth place.
Next up, the team will compete in Binghamton University's Carpetbagger Classic beginning on Saturday, March 22 and wrapping up the Classic on Sunday, March 23.
