STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — After seven straight road contests to open the season, the Wagner College men's basketball team returns home on Saturday, December 6, to continue its non-conference schedule with a matchup against Bryant & Stratton–Albany. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m. at the Spiro Sports Center, with coverage on NEC Front Row featuring Joey Wahler and Ryan Peters on the call.

Saturday's game marks the first meeting between the two programs. 

Bryant & Stratton–Albany (2–1), a member of the USCAA, opened its season with an 84–81 win over Vermont State University Randolph, followed by a 100–70 road victory at Touro University, before falling 102–85 to NCAA Division II Mansfield.

Wagner (1–6, 0–0 NEC) enters the contest coming off an 89–63 road loss at Maryland on December 2. Junior Nick Jones led the Seahawks with 16 points, two rebounds, and two steals while shooting 7-of-9 from the free-throw line. Redshirt-senior Jaden Baker added 13 points and seven rebounds, connecting on three three-pointers, and graduate student Sam Smith posted 10 points and six boards in his first start of the season. The Green & White shot 83 percent at the line (15-of-18) and grabbed 37 rebounds, but Maryland capitalized on 32-of-45 free throws and scored 40 points in the paint.

With a win on Saturday, Wagner would extend its streak to nine consecutive seasons with a victory in its home opener. The Seahawks are set to play 13 games at the Spiro Sports Center this year.

Following Saturday's matchup, the Green & White will remain home to host Bloomfield College on Thursday, December 11, at 7:00 p.m.
