STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Wagner College men's basketball team continues its four-game homestand on Thursday, December 11, with a matchup against Bloomfield College.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. inside the Spiro Sports Center, with coverage on NEC Front Row featuring Joey Wahler and Ryan Peters on the call.
Thursday's contest marks the first-ever meeting between the programs.
Bloomfield (5–3, 4–2), in its inaugural season as a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), previously competed at the NCAA Division II level in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Bears enter Thursday's matchup following a narrow 93–91 loss to Bryant & Stratton–Albany and are led by 24th-year head coach Gerald Holmes. Bloomfield averages 90.0 points and 18.9 assists per game.
Wagner (2–6, 0–0 NEC) comes into the game following a dominant 92–36 victory over Bryant & Stratton–Albany in its home opener on December 6. Graduate student
Sam Smith paced the Seahawks with 21 points, 13 rebounds, two blocks, and a steal, as five players scored in double figures and three recorded double-doubles.
Following Thursday's matchup, the Green & White will remain home to host UMES on Wednesday, December 17, at 7:00 p.m.
