BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Wagner football will close out the 2025 season on Saturday, November 22, traveling to LIU for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff at Shark Stadium. The matchup will stream live on NEC Front Row with Phil Constantino and Michael Murabito on the call.
With a win, Wagner would secure its first five-game winning streak since 2012, when the Seahawks won nine straight en route to the NEC Championship. The Seahawks could also clinch a share of the NEC title with a Central Connecticut loss.
Saturday's contest marks the fifth all-time meeting between the programs, with LIU holding a 3–1 advantage and winning the last two matchups.
The Sharks (5–6, 3–3 NEC) sit fifth in the NEC standings and enter the weekend on a two-game winning streak after victories over Duquesne and Robert Morris. Earlier this season, on September 7, LIU earned its first-ever win over an FBS opponent, defeating Eastern Michigan 28–23 on the road. The Sharks are led by fourth-year head coach Ron Cooper and lead the NEC in scoring defense, allowing just 19 points per game.
Wagner (5–6, 4–2 NEC) has won four straight — the program's longest streak since 2012. Last time out on November 15, the Seahawks defeated Stonehill 20–14 to close their home schedule. Wagner ranks second in the NEC in rushing offense at 162.8 yards per game. Graduate student
Andre Hines Jr. leads the ground attack with 66.8 rushing yards per contest, seventh-best in the NEC.
Defensively, the Seahawks lead the NEC in forced fumbles (13) and fumble recoveries (9), and rank second in interceptions (8).
