BRONX, N.Y. — The Wagner College men's basketball team continues its 2025 non-conference schedule on Tuesday, November 11, with a matchup at Fordham. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Gym, with coverage on ESPN+ featuring Andrew Bogusch and Andrew Posadas on the call.
Tuesday's matchup marks the 29th all-time meeting between the programs, with Fordham holding a 25–3 advantage. The Rams earned a 68–64 victory in the most recent meeting in 2023 and have won the last four contests. Wagner's last win in the series came in 1979. The teams met in 2022 and 2023 after previously not facing each other since 1981.
Fordham (1–1, 0–0 Atlantic 10) enters Tuesday's contest coming off a 106–37 victory over Mount Saint Mary College (N.Y.) on November 7. The Rams are led by first-year head coach Mike Magpayo and are averaging 83.5 points per game despite shooting just 19.6 percent from three-point range.
Wagner (0–2, 0–0 NEC) continues its seven-game road swing after falling 68–61 at Seton Hall. Junior
John Awoke led the Seahawks with 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting, including 6-of-7 from beyond the arc in his Wagner debut. Junior
Eddie Placer added 11 points and four rebounds off the bench, connecting on three triples, while
Zavier Fitch finished with eight points and eight rebounds.
Interim head coach
Dwan McMillan returns to Rose Hill Gym after spending two seasons (2022–24) on Fordham's staff. He served as the video coordinator during his first season before being elevated to director of player development and recruiting in his second year.
Following Tuesday's matchup, the Green & White will travel to Baltimore to face UMBC on Sunday, November 16, at Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena for a 12:00 p.m. tip.
