FLUSHING, N.Y. — Wagner women's tennis won their second straight dual match when it swept Holy Cross 7-0 on Saturday.
Before the match, the Seahawks participated in a junior tennis clinic with children from the City Parks foundation. They showed the participants what a college tennis practice entails and answered questions about their experiences as collegiate athletes.
After that finished, the Seahawks took the courts and won the doubles point thanks to their second and third doubles pairs. Sophomore

Dariana Vera were able to make up for the first doubles loss with a 6-2 win; then freshman
Hannah Fitzgerald and senior
Samantha Bentsianov won the rubber match, securing the doubles point with a 6-2 win.
The Seahawks then won each of the six singles matches in straight sets to finish off the shutout dual win. Sophomore
Liepa Sataite and freshman
Alexia Estrada avenged their doubles loss with wins in first and third singles respectively. Estrada's 6-4, 6-3 win clinched Wagner's fourth point of the match, securing the team victory.
