Annapolis, MD - The Wagner College women's golf team traveled to Annapolis, MD to participate in the Navy Fall Invitational Golf Tournament, a two-day event that lasted from Saturday to Sunday and was hosted by the United States Naval Academy Golf Club.

On Saturday, freshman standout Maria Calleja shot the low score of the day, a 1-under 71 including 4 birdies at the 6,084-yard par 72 course. Only two other participants managed to score under par on both days of the tournament.

After shooting a 73 on Sunday, Calleja finished third among the entire field, earning the Seahawks' best individual finish of the season thus far. For the third straight time, Calleja has finished a tournament as the low Seahawk.

Seniors, Elise Fujita and Ximena de la Garza finished in 55th and 61st, respectively, with a +20 and a +24 over the course of both days. Josephine Sawyer (+39) and Aisha Rodriguez (+48) rounded out the Seahawks' scoring. 

Collectively, Wagner shot a 330 (+42) at the tournament, placing fourteenth place among a 15-team field. 

After having next weekend off, the Green & White will travel to Nassau County, Long Island for a dual match against Hofstra at The Seawane Club on Saturday, October 12.
