Field Hockey Falls At Vermont

Burlington, VT - The Wagner College field hockey team dropped its non-conference matchup at Vermont by a score of 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Catamounts found the back of the cage during the first and third quarters to grant Vermont its two goals of the afternoon.  

Graduate student Cami Valor, senior Emma Lofstedt, sophomore Floortje Leunisse, and sophomore Natalie McGivern all attempted shots during the contest. 

Lofstedt, sophomore Charlotte Müller, and senior Rebecca Desiderio spent the enitery of the game on the field for the Green & White.

Freshman Saar van Dalen faced 15 shots, saving a season-high seven shots, while playing 57 total minutes. 

Overall, the Seahawks took nine shots, with three on target, and earned six corner opportunities. 

Next up, Wagner will travel to Erie, PA for its first Northeast Conference (NEC) matchup of the season against conference newcomer Mercyhurst on Friday, September 20. That game is set to begin at noon.
