Kenilworth, NJ - The Wagner men's golf team concluded its regular season with a dual match victory over Fordham at Galloping Hills Golf Club on Thursday, 297-310. Junior Michael Foley and five other Seahawks paced the individual leaderboard.
Prior to the competition, the Green & White honored their five seniors.
Foley delivered a match-high 71. Foley's score was also included in the team leaderboard tally, which took the four lowest totals of five pre-selected golfers and added them up for the dual match score.
Graduate student Tyler Galantini recorded a 74, while sophomores Johnny Svalina and Alavid Melo Iturralde, and senior Thomas Choi recorded 76's to make up the five Wagner golfers included in the team leaderboard field.
Individually, senior Joshua Hayes placed second behind Foley with a total of 73. The four aforementioned golfers followed Hayes before Fordham's Tucker Silva and his round total of 76 placed on the leaderboard.Â
Silva and five other Rams rounded out the top-12, with seniors Matthew Schurin, Christopher Cavendish and Jake Porr wrapping up the top-15 with scores of 80, 80 and 81, respectively.
The Seahawks will compete at the NEC Championship next in Pine Mountain, GA, from Friday, April 26, to Sunday, April 28.
