Syracuse, NY - The Wagner College women's lacrosse team dropped a Northeast Conference (NEC) contest at Le Moyne, 10-7, on Saturday afternoon.

In a high-scoring first quarter, both sides found the back of the net three times. After falling behind 3-1, the Seahawks battled back with goals from graduate student Nia Scott and junior Ella Marino to tie the game at three.

The Dolphins outscored the Seahawks 2-1 in the second quarter to take a 5-4 lead into halftime.

Le Moyne opened the third quarter on a 2-0 run to take a 7-4 lead, Wagner responded with back-to-back goals from Ella Maerino and Nia Scott. Le Moyne took a 7-6 lead into the fourth quarter.

After Nia Scott tied the game at seven with 12:46 remaining, Le Moyne closed the game on a 3-0 run to earn a 10-7 victory.

Ella Marino and Nia Scott led the way offensively for Wagner with three goals each.

Wagner will be back in action on Saturday, April 20 when they welcome Sacred Heart at 12:00 pm.
