Hempstead, NY - The Wagner College women's lacrosse team suffered a 17-2 non-conference loss at Hofstra on Tuesday afternoon.
Hofstra opened the scoring 43 seconds into the contest to take a 1-0 lead. The Pride went on to outscore the Seahawks 4-0 in the opening frame. As a team, the Green & White had five shots and won three out of five draw controls in the first.
Hofstra outscored Wagner 7-0 in the second quarter to take an 11-0 lead into halftime.
The Pride went on to outscore the Seahawks 3-0 in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, Wagner was able to find the back of the net twice as graduate student Nia Scott and junior Sophia Colver found the back of the net.
Wagner will be back in action on Saturday, March 9 when they welcome Delaware to Hameline Field at 12:00 pm.
