Queens, NY - The Wagner College bowling team finished its 2024 campaign at the Dezi Traditional/Baker Invitational over the weekend from Saturday, March 2 to Sunday, March 3.Â
The Seahawks competed in the two-day event along with LIU, Molloy, Daemen, Adelphi, and St. Thomas Aquinas.
In traditional competition, the Green & White finished in third with an overall record of 3-2. Wagner defeated St. Thomas Aquinas (953-740), Daemen (892-892), and Adelphi (887-837). Meanwhile, the Seahawks dropped their matches against LIU (914-841) and Molloy (966-929).
Senior Totiana Miranda led the way for Wagner, knocking down 932 pins across the Seahawks' five matches, including a 211 against Daemen. Sophomore Samantha McDermott scored a 915, as fellow sophomore Angelia Lubrano knocked over 895 pins over the five traditional matches.
In baker play, Wagner won two of their five matches. The Seahawks scored an average of 169.28 per game, for a total score of 4,232.Â
The Green & White scored 830 in the first baker match, 814 in the second, 816 in the third, 880 in the fourth, and 892 in the fifth.
