Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College women's lacrosse team dropped a Northeast Conference (NEC) contest to Saint Francis U, 8-7 on Saturday afternoon at Hameline Field.
The Seahawks outscored the Red Flash 4-2 in the first quarter behind three different goal scorers. Freshman Sydney Ecker found the back of the net twice while senior Kelsey Scheidel and junior Kendra Hall also scored in the first.
The Red Flash outscored the Seahawks 3-0 in the second quarter to take a 5-4 lead into halftime.
Both teams scored one goal each in the third as sophomore Emily Ryan scored for the Seahawks.
Both teams scored twice in the fourth quarter, a goal from junior Ella Marino with 2:06 remaining in the fourth quarter brought the game to 8-7.
The Seahawks were unable to tie the game and fell by the same score.

Wagner will be back in action on Wednesday, March 27 when they travel to Brookville, NY to take on LIU at 3:00 pm.
