Staten Island, NY - The Wagner women's tennis team opened up its conference play against Northeast Conference (NEC) opponent Le Moyne on Sunday, February 11 at the College of Staten Island (CSI) indoor tennis courts.

Seniors Gabrielle Perraudin and Tara Dakic began the match with a doubles victory against the Dolphins with a score of 6-4. The Seahawks would drop the next two doubles matches. 

In singles, Dakic's put up a valiant effort, forcing a third set but would drop her match with a score of 5-7, 6-4, 5-7. 

Perraudin secured Wagner's first singles victory defeating Ella Fernando in three sets with a score of 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. After, junior Paula Ysabelle Uy earned a win against Lilia Raiss with a score of 6-4, 7-5. 

The Seahawks fell to Le Moyne with a score of 2-4.

Next up, the Seahawks will host Sacred Heart on Sunday, February 18 at the CSI indoor tennis courts.
