Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College women's basketball team will travel to Navy on Thursday, November 14. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
This marks Wagner's second game road contest of the season, and third game of the young season.

Scouting Navy
The Midshipmen are 3-0 in the season, defeating Rider and Bryn Athyn earlier this month before taking down Iona, 55-53, on Tuesday. Prior to their game against the Gaels, the Midshipmen averaged 88.5 points per game which ranked 37th in the nation and forced the 29th most turnovers per game nationally with 26 per game.

The Series
Wagner and Navy met for the first time last season. The Seahawks secured a 69-67 victory over the Midshipmen at the Spiro Sports Center on November 30.Â

The Return Of Fabozzi
In the season opener, graduate student Julia Fabozzi set a career-high in points with 22
Fabozzi set a new career-high in made three pointers with five against Saint Elizabeth, eclipsing her mark of three set against LIU on January 8, 2023. The Staten Island native produced nine points with five rebounds and four assists against Seton Hall. Fabozzi only played seven games last season after missing most of the year with a knee injury

The Emergence Of Angelie RicardÂ
Junior Angelie Ricard set new career bests in points scored, three-pointers made, and tied her career-high in rebounds against Saint Elizabeth. In 21 minutes of action, Ricard scored 21 points on five three pointers and corralled five rebounds in the win. Against Seton Hall, Ricard led Wagner with 10 points.

The Supporting CastÂ
Sophomore Lijirin Doyinsola Modesayor set personal bests in points scored, rebounds, and blocks in 19 minutes against the Eagles. Modesayor capitalized on six shots to score 12 points while grabbing seven rebounds with two blocks.
Freshman Keana Foz got the nod at point for the Seahawks, dishing out a team-high seven assists to go along with seven points, four rebounds, and three steals in 21 minutes of action.
Graduate student Raneem ElBarky scored eight points, all in the third quarter, and collected six rebounds in 18 minutes. ElBarky also tallied four points with five rebounds and one block in 20 minutes.

Wagner In The National Rankings
The Seahawks rank 55th nationally in three-point percentage defense, holding Saint Elizabeth to a 9.5% shooting clip and Seton Hall to a 30.4% success rate from beyond-the-arc. With 8.5 three-pointers per game, Wagner finds itself 72nd in the nation, and first in the conference.
Julia Fabozzi and Angelie Ricard both average 15.5 points per game, placing themselves second in the conference in that category. Fabozzi and Ricard's 3.5 three-pointers per game ranks the duo at 39th nationally.

Seahawks Amongst The NEC
After two games, Wagner sits atop the NEC in assists per game (16.5), blocks per game (3.5), field goal percentage (44.4%), rebound margin (3.5), defensive rebounds per game (26), three-point percentage (37%), three-point percentage defense (20.5%), three-pointers made per game (8.5), and forced turnovers per game (17).
Keana Foz leads the NEC in assists per game with 4.5.

What's Next
After their matchup with the Midshipmen, the Seahawks will welcome Northeastern on Friday, November 22. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm.
