Loretto, PA - The Wagner women's soccer team earned a hard-fought victory over Saint Francis U, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at Stokes Soccerplex.

The Seahawks tallied their seventh shutout of the season and their fifth in NEC play.

In the 29th minute, sophomore Caroline Kessler found freshman Alana Arjona as she fired a shot past a sea of Red Flash and the goalkeeper for the Green & White's lone goal of the game.
The Seahawks controlled the tempo and recorded 13 total shots with 10 on goal compared to SFU's seven shots with six on goal.

The reigning NEC Defensive Player of the Week senior Sam Hughes recorded her seventh clean sheet of the season and the 18th of her career. The Green & White have allowed just two goals in five games in the month of October.

The Seahawks (6-4-6, 5-1-2 NEC) return to the field on Thursday October 24th at 7pm for a conference matchup against Le Moyne at Hameline Field.
