Colts Neck, NJ - In honor of the life of former Wagner golfer, Vanessa Picciotto Perrine, the Wagner College women's golf team hosts an annual matchplay tournament, put on by Trump National Golf Club on Wednesday, October 16.

Each member of the Seahawks' golf team was paired up with a member from Monmouth where they participated in a matchplay format for 18 holes.

The Green & White fell to Monmouth by a final score of 6-2, each school bringing eight golfers to the event.

Freshman Maria Calleja and senior Elise Fujita each won their matches, with Calleja's match coming down to the final hole. Fujita was up by two holes with one to play, concluding the match.

The remaining six Seahawks' participants fell in their respective matches, pushing Wagner's record in dual matches to 1-1 on the young season.

Next up, the Seahawks will host the Wagner Fall Classic at La Tourette Golf Course on Friday, October 18.
