Philadelphia, PA - The Wagner College women's tennis team sent four athletes to compete at the ITA Regional Tournament hosted at the University of Pennsylvania on Thursday, October 10.

Senior Paula Ysabelle Uy and freshman Victoria Madail scored wins in the first round of the qualifying singles draw.

Uy and Madail each defeated their opponents in two sets before dropping their next matchup in the bracket. Graduate student Daniela Hernandez was defeated in her first-round matchup, as Madail also suffered defeat in her first round matchup in the main draw.

In doubles competition, sophomore Dariana Vera and Uy received a first round bye thanks to a withdrawal from Drexel. The duo would be defeated in the round of 32, while the other Seahawk doubles' team of Hernandez and Madail would also fall in the round of 64 despite winning four out of twelve games in the one set matchup.

The Green & White will be back in action on Saturday, October 26 as they travel to North Easton, MA for a dual match with NEC-foe Stonehill.
