Hewlett, NY - The Wagner College women's golf team traveled to Hewlett, NY and defeated the Hofstra Pride in a one-day dual match at The Seawane Club on Saturday. 

Shooting a +36, 328 overall, the Seahawks earned a win in their only dual match of the fall season as the Pride scored a 338 overall.

Senior Aisha Rodriguez shot her low-score of the season, a +7, 80 to lead the field.

Fellow Mexico natives freshman Maria Calleja (+8) and senior Ximena de la Garza (+9) closely followed behind and helped pace the Seahawks to a ten-stroke victory over the Pride.

A busy week ahead, the Green & White will participate in the Vanessa Picciotto Perrine Memorial Tournament on Tuesday, October 15 and the Wagner Fall Classic on Thursday, October 17.

The Wagner Fall Classic will be played at La Tourette Golf Course, the home-course for the Wagner College golf teams.
