Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College women's tennis team will travel to Columbia and Fordham to start the 2023 fall season. 

The Seahawks will compete in the Columbia Invite on Friday, September 15 and Saturday, September16 at the the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center. On Sunday, September 17 Wagner will participate at the Fordham Invite held at Hawthorn/Rooney Tennis Courts. 

Wagner will return six players as two seniors, two juniors and two sophomores make their returns for Wagner.

The seniors include Tara Dakic and Gabrielle Perraudin as the juniors include Paula Ysabelle Uy and Jade Schoenfield. Rounding out the Seahawks' returners is Samantha Bentsianov and Jasmin lin.

New additions to the roster include graduate student Emma Zakordoniec from Poland and freshman Dariana Vera from Peru. 
Last season, the Seahawks fell to Sacred Heart in the Northeast Conference (NEC) quarterfinal.
Gabrielle Perraudin finished the year 9-12 overall, going 2-3 in conference play. Perraudin went 6-3 in her last nine duals, including ending the season on a three-game win streak in the regular season.

Tara Dakic finished the season 8-10 overall, including 2-2 in conference play.
Following its opening weekend, Wagner will travel to West Long Branch, NJ to take on Monmouth on September 22 at 1:00 pm.
