Fairfield, CT – The Wagner College women's lacrosse team defeated LIU 10-4 to advance to the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship.

Wagner opened the second quarter on a 3-0 run to extend its lead to 8-1 with 5:48 to go in the first half. Sophomore

Wagner took an 8-2 lead into the second half as neither team found the back of the net in the frame.
Lauren DiStefano made four of her 15 saves in the third quarter to keep Wagner in front.
Both teams tallied two goals in the fourth quarter as DiStefano stopped three shots.
Sophia Colver led the way offensively for the Seahawks with three goals.
Four goals is the least amount of goals Wagner has allowed in a NEC Tournament contest.
Wagner will be seeking its fourth NEC crown since 2016 as they will take on Sacred Heart on Saturday, May 6 at 1:00 pm.
