Dayton Beach, FL - Junior Thomas Choi of the men's golf team finished in a tie for second place at the NEC Championships. Choi shot a final round 69 (-3) to tie with Howard's Gregory Odom Jr. on the overall leaderboard. Choi was also named to the All-NEC Tournament Team for his performance.
The Seahawks as a whole finished in fifth place.
Choi rebounded from a first round 78 (+6) to shoot a 69 on both Monday and Tuesday to close out the tournament at 216 (E). The São Paulo, Brazil native placed the highest in Wagner history at the NEC Championships since Anton Frondelius won the event in 2017.
Senior Tyler Galantini occupied the top-15 as well, finishing the tournament tied for 11th place. He shot a 70 (-2) on Tuesday after shooting a 72 (E) on Monday and a 79 (+7) on Sunday.
Rounding out the Seahawk golfers, freshman Rasmus Seppänen finished in 27th place with a final round score of 76 (+4). Sophomore Michael Foley placed 31st and freshman Renato Gerena shot an 82 (+10) in his appearance on Tuesday.
