Hastings-on-Hudson, NY - The Wagner women's golf team competed at the St. John's Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, finishing in tenth place. The team shot an overall 665 (+97).
Sophomore Aisha Rodriguez paced the Seahawks at Saint Andrew's Golf Club as she finished tied for 34th place. Rodriguez shot a 77 (+6) on Monday and an 84 (+13) on Tuesday.
Following Rodriguez on the leaderboard was graduate student Audrey Paradis. Paradis shot a 165 (+23) overall, including a five shot improvement from Monday. She shot an 85 (+14) on Monday and finished the outing with an 80 (+9) on Tuesday.
Sophomore Ximena de la Garza finished two shots off of Paradis, finishing with a 167 (+25) for the two rounds. That mark earned her a tie for 46th place.Â
Rounding out the Seahawk golfers were sophomore Elise Fujita (+30) and freshman Josephine Sawyer (+34).
The Seahawks will be back in action this weekend at the Navy Spring Invitational in Annapolis, MD. The team will compete on Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16 at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club.
