Riverside, CA – The Wagner College softball team dropped a 9-1 decision to UC Riverside on Sunday afternoon.
The Seahawks got on the board in the fourth inning, as graduate student
Makenzie Miller led off the frame with a double and scored on a wild pitch with two outs.
The Highlanders took a 1-0 lead in the first and added three runs in the third, one in the fourth, and four in the fifth to earn the victory.
Freshmen
Jordyn Dulken and
Payton Janicki joined Miller in the hit column, while freshman Natalie Rodridguez was charged with the loss in the circle. Graduate student
Eve Harvey also saw action in relief.
Next up, Wagner will start Northeast Conference (NEC) play at Central Connecticut on March 18-19.
