Staten Island, NY - The Wagner women's tennis team hosted Colgate at the CSI Tennis Courts on Friday.

The Raiders would prevail with a score of 7-0.

Playing without a full roster of players, the Wagner women's tennis team could not defeat Colgate. In doubles, junior Gabrille Perraudin and sophomore Paula Ysabelle Uy battled in #1 doubles, but would eventually lose 6-3. 

With injuries at #1 and #3 singles positions, the Seahawks were forced to default the #5 and #6 matches as everyone moved up in the lineup.

Playing #1 for the first time this season, Gabrille Perraudin fell in three sets, 6-4, 4-6, 10-7. Paula Ysabelle Uy, moving up to play #2, fell in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5.

Freshmen Jasmine Lin and Emma Lofstedt also were defeated in their matches, 8-0.

Next up, the Seahawks will battle again on Saturday and look to get healthy as they host NEC rival Saint Francis University, at the College of Staten Island Indoor Tennis Courts. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
