Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College women's lacrosse team earned a Northeast Conference (NEC) win over LIU on Wednesday evening at Hameline Field.
The Sharks jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the first quarter before junior
Kelsey Scheidel got Wagner on the board. After LIU took a 3-1 lead, senior
Emily Wesoky tallied a goal to make the game 3-2 heading into the second quarter.
Both teams tallied two goals in the second quarter as sophomore

Megan Greco tallied the goals for Wagner, LIU took a 5-4 lead into halftime.
Freshman
Emily Ryan scored the lone goal of the third quarter to bring the game to 5-5 entering the final 15 minutes.
Wagner launched a 3-0 run in the final 10:54 of the contest to preserve the 8-5 victory.
Megan Greco tallied two goals in the fourth while sophomore
Katie Siverson tallied a goal in the frame.
Graduate student goalkeeper
Lauren DiStefano stopped 14 shots in the victory for the Green & White.
Wagner will be back in action on Saturday, April 1 when they welcome Fairleigh Dickinson to Hameline Field at 12:00 pm.
